Waffle is a word puzzle where you do not guess letters: every letter is already on the grid, just shuffled. Your task is to swap tiles and rebuild the words across and down within a limited number of swaps. Colors show which letters are already correct and which need moving. How the grid works
Words sit in the grid like waffle ridges: horizontally and vertically on every other line. They cross in shared cells, so the same letter belongs to two words at once. That makes the puzzle more interesting: a lucky swap can help two words at once.

The letter is in the right place.

Yellow
The letter is in the word but in a different position.

Grey
That letter is not in the word the tile belongs to.

Tips for building words faster
- Start with words that already have green letters and build on them.
- Mind the crossings: a letter in a shared cell has to fit both words at once.
- Do not spend swaps at random — picture the word a swap will produce first.
- Remember that letters can repeat, for example in words like “BALLOON” or “TERRACE”.
- Yellow letters show which tiles to move, while grey letters rule letters out.
